Deciding on Euthanasia
Euthanasia is never an option we want to face, but in certain situations, it can be the most humane thing to do for your pet. While conditions such as a terminal illness, debilitating chronic conditions, and very old age are factors for deciding on euthanasia, it is ultimately up to you. As their owner, you know your pet best of all and can tell when they are no longer themselves and are suffering needlessly. While we are always here to guide you in your decision by measuring your pet’s quality of life, you always have the final word.
Our Pet Euthanasia Services
When you and your family decide on euthanasia, we will perform the procedure in our clinic. We will arrange a time for you to bring your pet, and we’ll have a separate room set up for you to say your final goodbyes. We’ll give you all the time you need. When you’re ready, our staff will administer a sedative to keep your pet calm and relaxed, and then we’ll administer the euthanasia. It works quickly and your pet will feel no pain at all.
We work with Toothacres to handle your pet’s remains for either burial or cremation. It’s best to arrange these final services before the day of euthanasia since it will be an emotional time for you and your family. Contact the folks at Toothacres to discuss your pet’s options.
